초록

This study refers to architecture in Korean traditional house, especially in Joseon period, and Bali traditional house. Both have some common ground on the aspects that affected it, such as the layout of the building, climate, myths, beliefs, etc. The purpose of this study is to see both of them closely with the perspective of Rhetoric and emphasize on the cultural meanings which contained in each culture, as opposed to purely aesthetic consideration. Rhetoric itself visually is a theoretical framework describing how visual images communicate. Through this study can be seen the advantages located on each cultures and how both can give a positive value and becomes a combination of styles in new space
