This study is not only to explore the relationships between self-efficacy, job satisfaction, and task performance, but also to examine the intervening effects of innovation-behavior on the relationships. In particular, the study focuses on the indirect, intervening effects on the structural equation model. The data for the study has been collected from government employees in a local government in Seoul. The results show that innovation-behavior has a direct effect on task performance (dependent variable) and indirect, intervening effects on the relationships between the independent variables (task difficulty, job satisfaction, relationship satisfaction) and the dependent variable (task performance). Moreover, self regulating efficacy has direct, positive effects on innovation-behavior and task performance, but there is no significant indirect effects of self regualting efficacy on the dependent variable. While task diffulty has no direct effect on task performance, it directly, positively affects innovation-behavior and is indirectly, positively associated with task performance. Lastly, considering effect size of the variables, self regulating efficacy has largest effects on task performance.
