The purposes of this study was to investigate the nutrition intake of different professional ballet dancers before and after performance and their actual environmental factors and dietary habits and provide basic data to help them pursue a wellness-oriented life. Forty three professional ballet dancers(9 from an amateur ball company, 15 from a semi-pro ballet company, and 19 from a professional ballet company) were cluster sampled in Seoul and measured body composition, 24-hour recall method, and analysis of nutrition intake with CAN-Pro Version 2.0. SPSS 18.0 was used as a specific statistical method, and mean(M) and standard deviation(SD) were. Also applied for analysis were Kolmogrove Smirnov(Goodness of fit), analysis of covariance(ANCOVA), and multiple range test(Bonferroni). The findings show no statistically significant difference in water, and total calories among the groups of professional ballet dancers before and after performance.
