한국교육종단연구2005의 패널무응답 유형 분석: 잠재계층모형을 중심으로
초록
The purpose of this study was to investigate panel nonresponse types in Korean Educational Longitudinal Study 2005 (KELS 2005) and existence of latent classes according to panel nonresponse types. The final response rate of KELS 2005 was roughly 53% and about 80% participants did not respond to the survey more than once out of the twelve times of survey implementations. The results from latent class analysis indicate that there are three classes of participants according to panel nonrepons types: (1) panel attrition class after graduating middle school who left the panel in early stage, (2) panel attrition class after graduating high school who left the panel gradually after entering adulthood, (3) consistently participating class. The analysis of factors that affect the classification of latent classes according to panel nonresponse types suggests that participants who are female, whose education goal was low while attending middle school, whose academic achievement was poor, who conducted unexemplary learning behaviors frequently, and who transferred to another school while attending middle school are more likely to be classified to early attrition class. Additionally, participants whose mother education level was high, whose household income was high, and who attended middle school located in metropolitan cities are more likely to leave the panel in early stage.
