북미소재 한국고서에 관하여 : 소장현황과 활용방안

초록

With active research on Korean Studies in North America recently, historicity of Korean rare books come into play despite the fact that there are a few volume of collections in this region. The aim of this article is to find the whereabout of Korean rare books in U.S and Canada and to understand how these books were collected. Also, the characteristics of each institutions were examined. To utilize the books as preliminary data of this study, the basic status of investigation and release in Korea were systematically examined so that the data could be utilized effectively. This research is to try the macroscopic analysis on Korean rare books in North America. The value of the detailed materials is left hereafter for further study.
