Purpose This study aims to analyze the fairy tale ballet dance drama < Simcheong >, which is part of the Incheon City Ballet Company's repertoire, and to reveal the educational value of the work revealed through the analysis. Methods This study is a video work analysis study based on qualitative research methods and analyzes the work < Simcheong > based on previous research papers on work analysis and the value of dance education and dance theater-centered research theories to reveal the educational value inherent in it. Results First, dance dramas can convey stories through visual and physical expressions, making it easier for children to understand and immerse themselves in. Second, the expression of emotions through facial expressions and movements can help children feel the various emotions of Simcheongjeon. Third, the use of music and lighting not only adds a sense of mystery to the stage, but also creates appropriate effects in emotional scenes, allowing children to better feel the atmosphere of the story. Fourth, by simplifying complex plots through dance drama and emphasizing only the core elements of the story, children can easily approach the topic. Fifth, adding audience participation elements that children can directly participate in can induce greater interest and immersion. Conclusion By encountering classic dance dramas, you can learn literary knowledge and learn story structures and movements expressed through movement.
