Objectives: This study aims to examine the relationship between housing poverty and juvenile delinquency, focusing on the mediating effects of parenting behavior and adolescent depression and anxiety, including their dual mediation effects. Methods: Structural equation modeling(SEM) analysis was conducted using data from 323 adolescents who participated in the 16th wave(2021) of the Korea Welfare Panel Study(KOWEPS) conducted by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs. Results: The analysis indicated that housing poverty did not have a direct effect on delinquency but had an indirect effect through the mediation factor of depression and anxiety. Furthermore, housing poverty influenced delinquency sequentially through parenting behavior and adolescent depression and anxiety. Conclusions: The study highlights the negative impact of housing poverty on adolescent development. The study suggests that interventions should address not only housing poverty but also parenting behavior and adolescent depression and anxiety to prevent and mitigate juvenile delinquency.
