The Structural Relationship between Grit, Mindset, and Academic Persistence Intention of Incoming Physical Education Teachers

Raw data was processed via SPSS 26.0. Frequency analysis was conducted to identify general characteristics and exploratory factor analysis was conducted to verify construct validity. In addition, correlation analysis was conducted to identify correlation and multiple regression analysis and simple regression analysis were conducted to analyze influence of 3 factors (grit, mindset, academic persistence intention). The results are as follows: First, among grit factors, endeavor factor has been shown to have significant influence on mindset growth, while interest factor has not been shown to have significant influence. Neither of factors has been shown to have significant influence on mindset fixation. Second, among grit factors, both endeavor and interest factors have shown to have significant influence on academic persistence intention. Third, among mindset factors, growth factor has been shown to have significant influence on academic persistence intention, while fixation factor has not been shown to have significant influence.
