초록

The purpose of this study is to clarify the validity of policy communication education and research institute establishment which can contribute to standardization of public relations capacity of public officials in charge of policy communication. For this purpose, we conducted a questionnaire surveying 189 public officials in charge of policy communication PR in the central ministry. As a result of the analysis, policy communication officers have a high need for strengthening capacity in government communication activities. In addition, they recognized the necessity of professional development in relation to communication research education activities, and they showed a high awareness of necessity of establishing research institutes and utilization of them in establishing educational institutions. This study can contribute to the establishment of the policy communication education research institute and the policy communication activity that fits the needs of the people.
