초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of university graduates who acquire qualifications, and to examine if their qualifications affect their employment performance. Subjects of this study are four-year university graduates. Youth Panel is used for analysis. For this purpose, the study analyzed the factors of qualification acquisition, employment effect of qualifications, job level matching effect of qualifications, and wage effect of qualifications. The results of the study are as follows. First, the analysis of the acquisition factors of qualifications showed that the characteristics of job preparation had a significant impact on the qualifications. Second, qualifications did not have a significant impact on employment. Third, qualifications did not affect post-employment work and the level of skills held by individuals. Fourth, the wage effect of certificates had only a partial effect. These results may contribute to establishing a policy direction for youth in job preparation and policies on youth, and to finding implications of the current system and policies.
