초록

Annually, Fortune magazine announces '100 best companies to work for'. The companies selected not only demonstrate excellent financial performance but also have various advanced health and wellness programs, high levels of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and work-family balance. However, the concept of wellness was mainly researched in physical area, nursing, and psychology not business management field. Therefore, I have suggested why and how wellness should be researched further in the field of business management. The conclusions are followings. First, The concept and definition of wellness in terms of business management should be clarified. Second, the measurement of wellness should be developed and standardized. Third, a study on the relationship between wellness and performance in organization should be conducted. Through this approaches, wellness could be one of competitive advantages for sustainable growth of the organization.
