초록
This study developed and implemented a group coaching-based extracurricular program for international students and evaluated students’ satisfaction and experiences through quantitative and qualitative analyses. The program was designed to support self-understanding, relationship building, and goal setting among international students. Considering their Korean language proficiency, the program emphasized nonverbal and tool-based coaching activities. It consisted of Aroma coaching, Lego coaching, coaching debriefing, and follow-up one-on-one online coaching. The program was conducted on July 1, 2025, with 12 international students at S Women's University. After the program, participant satisfaction was measured using a five-point Likert scale, and open-ended responses were analyzed qualitatively. The quantitative results showed a high level of satisfaction, with an overall mean score of 4.68, despite language-related limitations. The qualitative analysis identified five categories: interest and immersion in tool-based coaching, enhanced self-understanding and emotional relief, clarification of goals and motivation for action, relational support and communication, and needs for program improvement. These findings suggest that coaching-based extracurricular programs can serve as a meaningful educational model for promoting international students’ self-reflection, relationship formation, and goal-oriented growth.
