초록

The Energy sector is a main source of greenhouse gas emission which is considered to have caused climate change. Issues around the energy sector have focused on mitigating climate change. However, climate change can also affect the energy sector by changes in energy demand and supply caused from climate change. This paper identified the effects of climate change on the energy sector in Korea and suggested suitable adaptation strategies. The strategies can be divided into categories as policy projects or R&D projects, and as long-term or short-term tasks, according to the characteristic and time-span of the issues. The results show that a part of strategies to adapt to climate change contradicts with strategies to mitigate climate change, which requires further detailed analyses. We also listed some topics on further research.
