This study aimed to verify the applicability of Draw-A-Person-in-the-Rain (DAPR) assessment as a tool to evaluate the acculturative stress and self-efficacy of married immigrant women. In total, 151 married immigrant women, participated in the DAPR, acculturative stress scale, and the self-efficacy scale. Data were analyzed using a t-test, discriminant analysis and clustering analysis. The results were as follows. First, a significant negative correlation existed between acculturative stress and self-efficacy. Second, significant differences were found regarding the level of getting wet in the rain, number of puddles, contact with puddles, lightning, and total stress at the stress area of the DAPR assessment based on the level of acculturative stress. Third, significant differences were found regardinf smiles, person size, total resources, and coping ability at the coping resource area of the DAPR assessment based on the level of self-efficacy. Fourth, significant differences were found in the stress area and coping resource area of the DAPR assessment based on the clusters according to the acculturative stress and the self-efficacy. The overall discriminatory power was 57%. Thus, this study verified the applicability of DAPR assessment as a diagnostic tool to assess the acculturative stress and self-efficacy of married immigrant women. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of this study were then discussed.
