"Joseonmunhakjeonjip(A collection of Joseon literature)" is an anthology of classical literature published in 1936 at the Junganginseokwan. Shin Myeong-gyun, an anti-Japanese independence activist during the Japanese occupation, participated as a compiler. This complete collection was planned in 10 volumes, covering sijo, gasa, classical novel, and history of literature. It is the first collection of classical literature that systematically compiled various genres of classical literature, which was published in Korea during the Japanese colonial period. Above all, this collection has important value in that it was a book designed to break the frame of literary collection culture centering on modern literature and world literature and to enhance the value of our traditional culture. In this research, I have analyzed the composition and the structure of "Joseonmunhakjeonjip(A collection of Joseon literature)" in detail. Based on this, I examined the specific aspects and implications of how it contributed to the formation and development of classical literature research and collective culture.
