>The “Saying” novel in Song Dynasty is one of the Chinese ancient novel styles. The most important nature of this kind of short story is the esthetic character embodied in it. In ancient China, the esthetic trend of the literature usually stressed the so called literati’s vogue, connotation and circumbendibus. However, as an art style enjoyed by the townspeople, the saying novels gave more attention to the taste of popular and interest. In general, the esthetic trend mainly expressed as its oral language, its complex triple-part structure, its daily life theme, its frank feelings, its twist plot, and its narrating with commenting.
