The purpose of this study is to develop a structured curriculum type of Korean social emotional adolescent parent education program that can be applied to parents raising adolescent children in the form of universal preventive education, thereby enhancing the social emotional competencies of students and parents and developing smooth communication skills to help them enjoy healthy home and school life. To develop the program, we analyzed previous studies and selected a counseling program development model as the theoretical basis. We conducted a needs assessment based on semi-structured interviews with 10 parents and conducted a content analysis, and constructed a draft of the parent education program through a literature review. In addition, to verify the content validity of the program, we conducted a Delphi survey in three stages for a total of 14 parent education and social emotional learning experts. As a result, the Korean social emotional based adolescent parent education program was composed of a total of 6 sessions: self-awareness, self-management, relationship awareness, relationship management, recognition and management of community value, and recognition and management of mental health. This program serves as foundational data to verify post-implementation effectiveness, aiding the stable establishment and growth of emerging social emotional learning in Korean education.
