This study enforced the program of the social dance activity per 50 minutes every one time, once a week, and for 16 weeks to 439 boy and girl elementary students in Seoul with the purpose of providing the basic data of the social dance activity in school for the elementary students' health promotion, analyzing the actual condition of elementary students' health through the interest in the body, mental state, and lesson. The statistics did paired t-test and Pearson-correlation analysis with SPSS 12.0 Version, and significance level was P< .05. The results are as follows. Firstly, the program of social dance activity after school had a good effect upon motor expression, continuous part, and exercise control part in the elementary students' bodies. Secondly, the program of social dance activity after school had no significant difference statistically on the interest in elementary students' lesson. Thirdly, the program of social dance activity after school had no siginificant change statistically on the elementary students' mental state. Furthermore, the correlation between body image and interest before and after the program of the social dance activity made a significant and statical change in the exercise control part, and there was the evaluation about the program of the social dance activity which was interesting and helped relaxation, stress reduction, and improvement of fitness, and they hoped to learn more in the future.
