Focusing on the six basic components of traditional Chinese flower design, this study aims to analyze and summarize the role of flower vessels in traditional Chinese flower design works through the analysis of ancient texts and their applications, and to structure the basic theoretical basis for future research on traditional Chinese flower design. The objects of the study are the six basic vessels used in traditional Chinese artistic design: vase, plate, basket, jar, bowl, and barrel, which are organized and analyzed in terms of literature and works. The role of ceramic vessels in traditional Chinese artistic design was identified and organized from different dimensions of ancient and modern China. The analysis of related literature and works is discussed in detail in Chapter 3. The results of the analysis can be summarized as follows 1) The concepts of traditional Chinese artistic design and the six major firearms. 2) Among the six major vessels, bottles are used relatively more. 3) The choice of vessel is influenced by the place, purpose, and meaning to be conveyed. 4) In traditional Chinese artistic design, non-transparent vessels such as ceramics and bamboo are often used. 5) In traditional Chinese art design, vessels with simple designs in simple colors and patterns are used. 6) The vessel affects the size and shape of the work. By organizing and analyzing these aspects, we can see the influence of ceramics, a component of traditional Chinese artistic design, on the artworks, and structure the content. In traditional Chinese artistic design, fireplaces not only play a functional role, but also play an important role in emphasizing the "unity" of the piece, and are an integral part of the artwork. This study focuses on the traditional Chinese artistic design composition, the floral container, and we hope that it will inspire more researchers to continue to pay attention to traditional Chinese artistic design.
