Abstract: This study is to verify the mediating effect of mother’s parenting stress in the effect of mother’s corona stress on young children’s maladaptive behavior. For this purpose, mothers and young children attending 8 childcare centers in Busan were the subjects of the study. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire survey. First, it was found to have a significant positive effect on mother’s corona stress and young children’s maladaptive behavior. Second, as a result of verifying the mediating effect of mother’s parenting stress in the relationship between mother’s corona stress and young children maladaptive behavior, the mediating effect of mother’s parenting stress was verified. This is a result that supports the fact that mothers’ parenting stress due to corona stress can increase maladaptive behavior in young children. Therefore, it is necessary to seek ways to lower the mother’s corona stress and parenting stress in order to lower the maladaptive behavior of young children.
