초록

Using a psychometric paradigm, the purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of digital risk perception. This study tries to compare the perceptions of digital risks between the experts and lay people. The results show that the both groups perceive the digital risks as relatively risky, and confirm that the both have a similar structure of risk perceptions to digital risks. The digital risks can be categorized as four types in a two-factor dimension -“dreadness” and “inapprehensiveness.” It also indicates the differences in the general risk perceptions for digital risks, and the differences in the types of digital risks in a two-factor dimension between the two groups. Based on the results, the potential implications for effective risk policy are also suggested.
