2008 환경성과지수(EPI)에 대한 비판적 고찰: EPI 모형의 타당도 및 신뢰도 검토

The purposes of this study are to examine the validity and reliability of the 2008 Environmental Performance Index (EPI) and to make suggestions for improving the EPI. The confirmatory factor analyses reveal that the construct of ecosystem vitality has low convergent and discriminant validity. The internal consistencies of environmental health and ecosystem vitality are very low. Furthermore, the higher order factor analyses indicate that the fit indices of the EPI model are low. In the measurement model, environmental burden of disease (DALYs), water (effects on human), air pollution (effects on human), air pollution (effects on ecosystems), water (effects on ecosystems), biodiversity & habitat, forestry, fisheries, agriculture and climate change have high measurement errors. The results suggest a bad fit to the data. Based on these findings, this study discusses some considerations to improve the EPI.
