The purpose of this study is to analyze the types and characteristics of fundamental perceptions of University student's forgiveness using Q methodology. After constructing a total Q-population for forgiveness according to the Q-methodological study procedure, the final Q-statements of the 33 items was extracted. In addition, 30 college students were selected as P-samples, and 33statements were classified through Q classification and analyzed by principal components analysis using QUANL program. As a result of the study, the first type was a type of‘Separate from the surface’, and the second type was‘Relational harmonization type’, and forgiveness refers to starting a new relationship with the other and maintaining a harmonious relationship. The third type is ‘Essential love’. Forgiveness is love, and it is not understood that it is understanding of mistakes. The fourth is ‘Conditional deal type’. In this study, we expect that students will grasp the type of forgiveness and will make a fundamental contribution to the grasp the type of forgiveness and will make a fundamental contribution to the realization of true forgiveness in understanding the other person and self, and forgiving each other in the conflict.
