초록

The purpose of this paper is to examine the pattern of developing policiesand movements for the expansion of scientific research, driven by Pierre MendèsFrance, focusing on the correlation between two factors, ‘modernization’ and‘scientific research’ in the history of the 4th Republic which has been underestimated. To this end, we will examine in Chapter 2 how a sense of crisis emerged aboutthe delay of scientific research in France, which became a stumbling block inthe task of national reconstruction and modernization after World War II. Inchapter 3, we will try to analyze from various angles the aspects of the policyto expand scientific research, pursued during the tenure of Pierre Mendès Franceas Prime Minister, and in chapter 4, the aspects of the activities to expandscientific research, centered on Pierre Mendès France after his dismissal.
