The purpose of this study is to validate the Overexcitability Questionnaire-Ⅱ(OEQⅡ) for junior and senior high school students on the basis of Dabrowski's theory of Positive Disintegration(TPD). OEQⅡ is a self-report questionnaire consisting of fifty-items to be used for the measurement of overexcitabilities (OEs). OE is the indicator of developmental potential(DP) for the gifted to reach out to advanced personality development level. There are five OEs; psychomotor OE, sensual OE, imaginational OE, intellectual OE, emotional OE. After the OEQⅡ in English was translated into in Korean, the test of reliability and validity for the Korea version of OEQII performed in the preliminary test and the main test. As a consequence of preliminary test, some items are corrected. In the primary analysis of the main test, OEQⅡ consisting of 50 items shows high Cronbach's alpha(ɑ=.749∼ɑ=.873). On the basis of the result of the factor analysis, 2 items(item 6 and item 34) out of 50 items were deleted. In the secondary analysis of the main test, OEQⅡ consisting of 48 items shows high Cronbach's alpha(ɑ=.743∼ɑ=.873), The test-retest reliability reveals a similar high Cronbach's alpha, (ɑ=.763∼ɑ=.919). The factor analysis confirms that the OEQⅡ consisting of 48 items is appropriate for measuring five overexcitabilities. Also, the goodness-of-fit test, cross validity, concurrent validity, contrasted group validity show that OEQII is a validated test for the measurement of overexcitabilities(OEs) of Korean junior and senior high students.
