This study aims to analyze the various experiences and challenges that high school homeroom teachers encounter in student counseling through a qualitative case study. The researcher conducted interviews with three high school homeroom teachers to explore in depth the challenges and coping strategies they face during the counseling process. The study identified three categories: approaches to counseling and challenges, understanding and supporting students, and teacher growth and emotional stability. Nine central themes emerged: lack of guidelines in initial homeroom experiences, limitations of professional counseling, expectations from school and society, importance of understanding students, interest in career guidance, differences in roles and responsibilities between homeroom and non-homeroom teachers, participation in personal growth and training, need for emotional stability, and reward and motivation from counseling. Based on the results, the study suggests strategies for supporting teacher growth and emotional stability and offers institutional improvement measures to enhance the counseling environment within schools.
