This study examines aging-related research trends from 2005 to 2025 to explore future directions for consumer policy and education in response to the transition into a super-aged society. Using keywords such as “aging,” “older adults,” “seniors,” “retirement,” and “baby boomers,” research articles were collected from the Consumer Policy and Education Review, four consumer- related journals, and four home economics-related journals. Meta-analysis, keyword analysis, and topic modeling were conducted. Results show that within the Consumer Policy and Education Review, 66.1% of studies focused on household economy and financial management, 28.6% on consumer decision-making and behavior, and 5.4% on consumer education, policy, and institutional issues. While retirement and financial preparedness have remained central themes, recent years have seen growing interest in healthcare, digital literacy, and everyday consumption patterns. Compared to other journals, this journal emphasized practical topics such as financial literacy, investment behavior, and digital consumption competence. The findings highlight the need for a multidisciplinary approach that integrates social, health, housing, and labor dimensions beyond financial perspectives. Expanding cross-disciplinary collaboration will enhance the academic impact and practical relevance of consumer policy and education research in an aging society.
