초록

The purpose of this study is to provide practical field knowledge and useful information based on sports psychological consultants counseling experiences to help secure their expertise. To achieve this goal, the following research questions were set up from seven study participants: “How is the advancement of sports psychological consultants?”,“How is the sports psychological consultant's expertise and knowledge developed?”, and “What is the future vision of sports psychological consultants?” To provide practical experience of sports psychological consultants with more than three years of experience, the purpose method and snowball method were used, and the data were collected through semi-structured questions. Triangulation method was used to ensure the veracity of the study, and the following results were obtained through inductive categorization. First, the advancement of sports psychological consultants in the early stages became an opportunity to enhance professionalism through various concerns, counseling experiences and efforts from the past. The advancement of sports psychological consultants was found in discovering one's identity, processes for growth, trial and error, supplementing and coping with one's own weaknesses. Second, the professionalism of sports psychological consultants began with the advancement of sports psychological consultants, and there were efforts and processes to secure professionalism in earnest. The professionalism of sports psychological consultants was found in the understanding of professionalism, the process for developing professionalism, and know-how for counseling athletes. Third, the future vision of sports psychological consultants was definitely a job as an sports psychological consultants. The future vision of sports psychological consultants was found in the prospective system, one's dreams and ideals, and one's plans for the future. It is expected that this study will discuss sports psychological consultants' ongoing efforts and processes from an academic perspective that will help them grow into professional sports psychological consultants in the future, and their knowledge in sports psychological counseling and field experiences will help novices in athletic counseling, professional counselors, sports leaders and athletes in the future.
