Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the meaning of the work performed as part of the Incheon City Dance Company's 'Regional Representative Art Group Development Support Project'. In other words, the purpose was to examine what meaning is expressed through the content, movements, and images of the work, 〈Bolero of Peace〉, a creative ballet based on the Incheon Landing Operation. Methods: As a researcher who personally choreographed the original ballet 〈Bolero of Peace〉, the research method is a cultural approach that comprehensively analyzes the thoughts and feelings of the members who participated in the dance performance, or the meaning or value of the dance that the audience may have after watching the performance. method was chosen Results: First, the synopsis of the work contains gratitude and respect for the solidarity and cooperation of the multinational coalition that helped in the Korean War, and this commemorates the courage, sacrifice, and solidarity of the countries that supported our country. And it contains a meaning that symbolizes the future of peace and harmony. Second, the main dance movement in the work 〈Bolero of Peace〉 mainly uses the grand jete, a leaping movement. The meaning of this movement shows the lessons and hope gained through it even in the tragic reality of war. Third, the meaning of the images in the work 〈Bolero of Peace〉 is the meaning of memory and history, and the expressive meaning of symbolism and abstraction. This operation had the common value and goal of protecting freedom and peace, and it means unity in diversity. It also has the meaning of conveying the story line or symbolic theme of a work more clearly or amplifying emotions through video. Conclusion: This work is a work that shows the power of the community, commemorates the Incheon Landing Operation, and allows us to see what the powerful driving force is that realizes the universal values of peace and freedom.
