초록
The ever-evolving globalization and the internationalization of higher education have triggered an increasing number of Chinese students studying abroad, with an annual rise in international students majoring in art-related fields. However, there is currently a lack of systematic research on the relationship between dance immersion, career decision-making self-efficacy, and career preparation behavior. In this study, 280 Chinese international dance majors in South Korea were surveyed. The impact mechanism of dance immersion on career decision-making self-efficacy and career preparation behavior was explored using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that: (1) significant differences exist in the research variables across gender, academic year, major background, and Korean language proficiency; (2) dance immersion significantly enhances career decision-making self-efficacy, behavioral immersion strengthens the trust in career choice, and cognitive immersion improves career self-affirmation, choice trust, and resilience; (3) cognitive immersion positively affects information-gathering activities; and (4) career decision-making self-efficacy significantly affects career readiness behavior, and career self-affirmation and choice flexibility respectively promote information gathering and actual efforts. This study reveals the mechanism by which dance immersion affects career readiness, providing valuable insights for arts education reform, career guidance, and policy-making, as well as targeted intervention strategies for educators and career counselors to help international students enhance their employability.
