초록

As a great Confucian scholar, Yi Hwang is also an outstanding poet. He left more than 2,000 poems in his life, with various styles, different lengths, rich themes, skilled techniques, and a lot of dictionaries, which have great research value. Based on the analysis of its relationship with Chinese classics and the Chinese elements in the spiritual world, this paper selects 23 representative poems written in the middle-aged period for analysis, and finds the extensiveness of the Chinese classics that Yi Hwang read in his life, and also the Chinese factor in the spiritual world constructed on this reading basis. In addition to the well-known Confucian classics, Yi Hwang also dabbled in the history section represented by Records of the Grand Historian, Book of Han, Book of Jin, etc., scholar section represented by Zhuang Zhou and A New Account of the Tales of the World, literature section represented by the poetry collections of many famous poets from Tang dynasty, Song dynasty to Ming dynasty. The Chorography of Lin’an During Xianchun Era and The Chorography of Wuyi are included, too. Based on reading this huge Chinese scriptures, Chinese factors such as ‘Yangtze River’, ‘White Lotus Society’, ‘Shu Road’, Du Mu, Xiahouxuan, Fan Ji all naturally entered his poems, which are called some symbols of his spiritual world, and also presented his impression of China for later generations. 대유학자인 이황은 뛰어난 시인이기도 하다. 그가 생애에 남긴 시편은 2천여 편이며, 형식이 다양하고, 길이도 다 똑같지 않으며, 소재가 풍부하고, 기교가 능숙하며, 인용된 고전도 풍부하여 연구 가치가 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 중국 전적과의 관계, 정신 세계의 중화 요소를 분석하는 것에서 출발하여 중년에 지은 대표적인 23편의 시를 골라 해석하고, 이황이 평생 열람한 중국 고대 경전의 광범성과 그 위에서 구축된 정신 세계의 중화 요소를 발견하였다. 이황은 잘 알려진 유가의 경전 외에도 경사자집 중 史記 漢書 晉書 등으로 대표되는 史部, 莊子 世說新語로 대표되는 子部, 唐宋明의 각종 시인의 시집으로 대표되는 集部 등 폭넓은 중국 고대 경전을 섭렵했고, 咸淳臨安志 武夷志로 대표되는 지방지 등도 포함하여 섭렵했다.이 방대한 중국 고대 경전의 독서를 바탕으로 ‘長江’ ‘白蓮社’ ‘蜀道’를 비롯해 杜牧, 夏侯玄, 樊姬 등 중화적 요소가 자연스럽게 시가에 들어가 정신세계의 어떤 상징이 되고 후세에 중화에 대한의 이미지를 보여준다.
