데이터 시각화 문해력 수업교재 개발 및 적용 사례 연구

초록

Improving data visualization literacy (DVL) is crucial for deriving data insights and communicating effectively. This is why developing teaching materials and application cases for improving visualization literacy in practical classroom settings is necessary. This paper presents a case study of the development and application of a visualization literacy teaching materials for IT specialized high school students. Our teaching materials include both lecture materials for teachers to use and an assessment tool to evaluate the effectiveness. The lecture materials are designed to foster integrated competencies in reading, critiquing, interpreting and utilizing various data visualizations. The assessment tool is based on the existing Data Visualization Literacy Assessment Tool (VLAT), modified to fit the limited number of sessions and the developed lecture materials. It features two forms: pre-test and post-test.
