The results indicated that the life goals of high school student were classified into six types. There were significant differences between the academic self-concepts and achievement for the six profile types. In particular, if you look at the characteristics of significant types of goals, the level of recognition of importance of internal goals rather than external goals was shown to be important for academic self-concepts and achievements, and the higher the level of recognition of importance of internal goals, the more positive the result was. In addition, there were positive results in academic self-concepts and achievements when the level of awareness of the importance of life goals was high overall. This study is meaningful in that high school students' life goals have been divided into actual types through an personl-oriented approach and, based on these various types, has implications for what part of their life goals should be made by looking at the differences between academic self-concepts and achievements that are important in academic situations.
