VIPP(Video-feedback Intervention to Promote Positive Parenting)의 연구 동향 분석: 2005년부터 2026년까지 국외 학술지를 중심으로

This study aimed to systematically analyze international research on the Video-feedback Intervention to Promote Positive Parenting (VIPP) program. A total of 84 VIPP-related articles published in international journals from 2005 to March 2026 were reviewed and analyzed according to the following criteria: publication year and country, research methodology, participant characteristics (caregiver type and child age), number of sessions, and delivery format. The annual number of publications increased steadily, rising from an average of 1.9 articles per year during the early period (2005–2015) to approximately 5.7 articles per year in the later period (2016–2026). The Netherlands accounted for the largest share of publications, and publications also expanded beyond Europe. However, no studies conducted in Asian countries have been reported to date. Second, quantitative studies employing experimental designs constituted the largest proportion. Third, in terms of participant characteristics, mother–child dyads were the most frequently studied caregiver type, whereas studies focusing exclusively on fathers were scarce. The majority of studies targeted children in the preschool period, aged 0 to 6 years. Including the foundational model, VIPP has been adapted into 21 versions, reflecting variations in child characteristics, parental factors, family contexts, and implementation settings. Fourth, a six-session format was the most commonly adopted program length, and home visits were the predominant delivery format, although online delivery has been explored in recent studies. Based on these findings, this study highlights the notable lack of VIPP research in non-Western cultural contexts, including Asia, and underscores the need for future studies that adapt and apply VIPP within the parenting environment and cultural context of South Korea. Furthermore, future VIPP research should include more diverse caregiver types, such as fathers, and varied implementation settings represents an important direction for future research.
