초록
This research examined the effects of childcare teachers’ job stress and satisfaction level with break time on job satisfaction, and verified the regulating effect of break time satisfaction in relation to work stress and job satisfaction. The subjects of this research are a total of 220 childcare teachers who are working at a childcare center located in Y district in Seoul, South Korea. First, key reasons influencing job satisfaction of childcare teachers were ‘leadership of the principle of childcare facility and administrative support’, ‘work overload’, and ‘satisfaction level of break time’ affect job satisfaction. Second, it was found that the level of satisfaction with break time regulates the relationship between work stress and job satisfaction level. Third, it was also identified that the satisfaction level of break time had a statistically significant regulating effet. Based on the findings, proposals to enhance the level of job satisfaction and to ensure break time of childcare teachers are presented. The research concluded with the limitations and implications of the study.
