Switchable Transparency and Wetting of Elastomeric Smart Windows

초록

Elastomeric smart windows with switchable optical transparency and wetting properties are fabricated through the combination of replica molding and surface wrinkling. The resulting smart windows, with a surface topography that is tunable via mechanical strain, exhibit not only significant changes in optical transmittance and wetting properties, but also the additional functions of self-cleaning and antireflection.
