초록

This paper tried to read the semiotic system of mythical discourse symbolically for the entire story of Kim Yu-shin. The mythical discourses regarding heroism form a symbolic order in the story surrounding Kim Yu-shin. This study saw that three symbolic orders appear in the story of Kim Yu-shin, showing a symbolic system. First, it can be seen that in Kim Yu-shin's story, the symbol of "dream" is used to acquire fantasy beyond time. In Kim Yu-shin's narrative, the dream is a symbolic system that plays a role in transcending time that connects past and present and afterlife. Through the dream, it was confirmed that the mystery of birth spans Goguryeo, Gaya, and Silla. It also forms a symbolic system that Kim Yu-shin will later make a huge contribution to unifying the three kingdoms. Second, we paid attention to the symbolism of 'horse' appearing in the stories of Kim Yu-shin. If dreams have a symbolic system that transcends time, horse have a symbolic system that transcends space. Horse have properties that transcend space and at the same time have established a symbolic order that builds Kim Yu-shin's willful narrative. Horse acted as a symbolic sacrifice that revealed Kim Yu-shin's will. Since Kim Yu-shin was a master, horses were always used as symbols of bravery and willful characters. Therefore, it can be seen that Kim Yu-shin's narratives of horses are used as a symbol that further emphasizes his willful machine. Third, many symbols of stars and light appear in the story of Kim Yu-shin. It seems to be a symbolic device that symbolizes Kim Yu-shin, who has become a god of 33 heavens. As the manifestation of heaven, Kim Yu-shin has many parts that are connected to light and stars. From the conception dream of Kim Seo-hyun and Mrs. Manmyeong to the part of receiving a complementary examination from the mountain god, rumors related to the stars during the tragedy, and the appearance of 33 heavens was seen in the Magic flute Manpasikjuk story. This paper examines the differences and similarity in the stories in each literature, and attempts to examine how Kim Yu-shin's hero narrative discourse acquires a semiotic system.
