Cultural heritage is a tourist resource with various values. Tourists can experience cultural heritage and know its value and meaning through cultural heritage tourism, which increases interest in cultural heritage and helps preserve and revitalize it. Among the cultural heritages of Korea, the four old palaces in Seoul are representative cultural heritage tourist destinations that are visited by many domestic and tourists, and tourists can recognize their authenticity through tourism experiences. However, the authenticity of the palace can be said to be very important because the authenticity of cultural heritage sites such as the old palace may be damaged in the process of restoration, reproduction, or commercialization of tourism. In particular, the objective authenticity related to the originality of the palace is influenced by the tourism experience and is a factor influencing tourism satisfaction. Therefore, this study aimed to clarify the importance of tourists from Korea, China, and Japan in the four old palaces by confirming the relationship between tourism experience factors, objective authenticity, and tourism satisfaction, and examining the mediating effect of objective authenticity. As a result, it was confirmed that the tourism experience factor had a positive effect on both objective authenticity and tourism satisfaction, and objective authenticity had a partial mediating effect. These findings can be said to show the necessiity of paying attention to the tourist experience factors that positively affect the objective authenticity and tourism satisfaction in the old palace tour, and the need for the pld palace tour to take into account the problem of damage to the objective authenticity that may occur in cultural heritage site.
