In order to perform this, the survey was done on 300 college students from two colleges in Gyeonggi-do, with convenience sampling method, and the data from 266 questionnaires was used for analysis. With the use of SPSS/PC 20.0, the collected data from the survey was analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe, Pearson's correlation analysis, Baron, Kenny's mediating analysis, and Sobel test, which was used to verify the significance of mediating effect. The study result suggests that the rate of smartphone addiction of female students was higher than male students, and meaningful correlation was shown between college students’ stress, interpersonal relationship and smartphone addiction.
