초록

This study explores the relationship between college engagement, career preparation behavior, and employment success, with a focus on differences between general and vocational high school graduates. While vocational and general high school graduates showed no significant differences in college engagement, they exhibited differences in career preparation behavior, which in turn influenced employment outcomes. Using Baron and Kenny’s (1986) three-step procedure, the research examines whether career preparation mediates the impact of college engagement on employment success. The findings suggest that the differences in career preparation behavior between vocational and general high school graduates significantly affect employment success. This study provides important insights into the relationship between college engagement and employment success for vocational high school graduates and highlights the need for tailored career support programs based on high school background.
