초록

In this article, we explore foreign prestigious art colleges admission for providing opportunity to compare them with domestic art colleges and universities and to establish more robust college admission criteria and selection process in the future. Postsecondary art institutions were selected based on the world renowned in music, theater, film and video, arts, and dance; The Juilliard School, Eastman School of Music, UCLA, California Institute of the Arts(Cal Arts), London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art(LAMDA), University of Southern California, Tisch School of the Arts of NYU, School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Analyses of art colleges and universities are divided into type and eligibility for admission, selection schedule and requirement materials, selection process(audition), and admission promotion strategy. Implications for practice obtained from foreign art colleges and universities are as follows. First, the talents of applicants seeking to establish by higher education institution need to be specified. Second, there exist college talents not limited to the practical skills and knowledge, such as patience, potential, and the degree of tolerance carried out with colleagues. Third, there is a need to organize a typical schedule that allows applicants to fully prepare. Fourth, it should be appreciated that the admission selection factors which are utilized in critical according to each department is different. Finally, foreign universities, despite its worldwide reputation, has public relations in a variety of ways the contents of the major and on ongoing basis.
