초록

This study investigated the effects of ambivalent sexism and counterfactual thinking on the judgment of offender and victim responsibility, and the effects of ambivalent sexism on the case judgment of sexual violence through the cognitive process of counterfactual thinking about the victim. As a result, the higher the hostile and benevolent sexism, the bigger the number of counterfactual thinking about the victim, and the bigger responsibility attributed to the victim. Additionally, the effect of benevolent sexism on victim blaming was mediated by counterfactual thinking about the victim. Finally, the practical implications on the prevention of secondary victimization through the investigation process were discussed.
