The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the occupational distribution across public and private job-matching platforms to identify the characteristics and limitations of job information available to job seekers, and to suggest directions for providing more balanced information and improving platform services. By systematically collecting job postings from Worknet, Saramin, and JobKorea and organizing them according to the sub-major groups of the Korean Employment Classification of Occupations (KECO), the research uses correspondence analysis to identify patterns and structural differences in job distribution. The findings reveal that Worknet tends to feature a concentration of lower-skilled roles, such as cleaning, production, and manufacturing. In contrast, Saramin offers a broader range of positions, including management, professional, and creative roles. JobKorea, meanwhile, is more focused on service-and sales-related jobs. These distinctions appear to align closely with each platform’s user base and strategic orientation. Based on the analysis, the study highlights the need for Worknet to diversify its job listings and improve its capacity to deliver more tailored information. Furthermore, the results suggest that closer cooperation and data sharing between public and private platforms could better address the diverse needs of job seekers, thereby contributing to a more efficient and inclusive labor market.
