한국 사회 젠더갈등의 성·연령집단별 인식 차이 20~30대 남성 집단과의 비교를 중심으로

초록

This study examines how perceptions of gender conflict in Korean society differ across gender and age groups. In particular, it compares the perceptions and attitudes toward gender issues among men in their twenties and thirties with those of other gender and age groups. The findings are as follows. First, compared with other gender and age groups, men in their twenties and thirties perceive gender conflict as a more serious social issue. They are also more likely than other groups to agree with the claim that men are currently discriminated against in Korean society. In addition, they hold more negative views of feminism than members of other gender and age groups. Second, individuals who perceive themselves as having experienced gender discrimination are more likely to hold negative attitudes toward gender-related issues. However, what constitutes the experience of "gender discrimination" requires further investigation. Third, contrary to previous claims, this study found that online activity has only a limited effect on intensifying gender conflict. However, since this study did not measure various aspects that reflect online activity, it is too early to conclude that there is no association between online activity and gender conflict. A more focused investigation of people in their twenties and thirties is needed to better assess the impact of online activity on gender conflict.
