JUNO HAIR started as one small beauty salon in 1981 and grew a beauty company consist of 98 stores directly managed by headquarter. Key success factors of JUNO HAIR were entrepreneurship of founder, systematic education programs, company-operated stores, and professional managers. As a result, JUNO HAIR has achieved steady growth of annual sales and number of stores where hired more than 2,500 employees. Considering foreign market entry strategy, however, JUNO HAIR faced some difficulties related with company-owned system. Therefore, founder Kang's next challenge was how to successfully transfer JUNO HAIR's core systems to target foreign markets.
