The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of children's perceived marital conflict and peer relationship on children's alienation. The subjects of this study were 452 children of 5th or 6th graders in Gyeonggi-do. The results of study are as follows: First, children's perceived marital conflict had significant influence on the children's alienation. However, gender difference had not been observed. Second, there were gender differences in the connection between the peer relationships and the alienation. In boy's cases, the emotional support and common activities had significant influence on children's alienation; in girl's cases, however, the emotional support had significant influence on children's alienation. Third, in research of the effects of children's perceived marital conflict and peer relationship on children's alienation, the emotional support and common activities without children's perceived marital conflict relation showed independent effects on boys. And the emotional support without children's perceived marital conflict relation showed independent effects on girls.
