Pupose: The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of sociological approaches to expand the research spectrum of disability studies in the field of Kinesiology by analyzing periodic research trends on Disability-related studies in Kinesiology. Methods: To achieve the goal of this study, data was collected by typing keywords ‘people with disability’, and ‘Kinesiology’ on the Research Information Sharing Service, and then the modified data was conducted by TF-IDF, frequency analysis, and topic modeling analysis. Result: The results of this study was as follow: first, the results of TF-IDF analysis, a majority of researches in the first period were about sports socialization, socio-psycho factors, special education in PE, sport physiology, policy development for people with disability; a majority of researches in the second period ware about socio-psycho factors, policy development for people with disability, fitness evaluation, athletes with disability, and special education in PE; a majority of researches in the third period ware about special education in PE, Paralympics, socio-psycho factors, participants with disabilities of sports for all, effectiveness of exercise, and discrimination on disabilities. There are two significant conclusions as follow: first, socio-psycho factors as a an important research keyword in disability studies in the field of Kinesiology regardless of periods. Conclusion: Moreover, discussions on disability and people with disabilities in Kinesiology have tried to adopt the social model approach, which has been tried by disability-studies to expand the concept and its scope on disability in Korean society.
