This study analyzes the entrepreneurship of EdTech startups using Lee Chun-woo’s (2019) Conceptual Synthesis model of entrepreneurship as an analytical framework, which systematizes entrepreneurship from the perspectives of entrepreneurial job and job competencies. It examines CLASSUM, a company that successfully expanded into the global market. The analysis reveals that CLASSUM’s entrepreneurial tasks involve establishing an AI-based communication-centered educational platform and creating a virtuous cycle for talent growth as a SaaS-based learning experience platform connecting platforms, content, and people. The two co-founders demonstrated key job competencies outlined in the model, including challenging spirit, innovativeness, risk-taking, proactiveness, independence, idea generation, creativity, and high-profit expectations. They effectively integrated these competencies into entrepreneurial behaviors such as innovation, transformation, discovery, and combination through initiatives like developing AI Dot, launching AI Learning Path, and forming content partnerships. As a result, CLASSUM entered the Pre-B investment stage, secured 13,000 client institutions across 32 countries, and recorded high customer satisfaction, demonstrating positive economic and social outcomes. These findings confirm that CLASSUM’s success factors align with the core elements of entrepreneurship in the conceptual synthesis model. Based on these results, the study draws conclusions and implications.
