초록

This study explored the structural relationships between children’s family and parent-child interactions. We considered the impact of these relationships on children’s behavior problems. Also, we looked at the mediating effects of media device addiction. We sampled 1,297 mothers and children from the 9th(2016) and 10th(2017) waves of the Panel Study on Korean Children. Afterwards, we applied Structural Equation Modeling to the data. Our analysis produced the following results. Family interaction had a direct effect on children’s internalizing and externalizing problems. It had a direct impact on their media device addiction, too. Parent-child interaction also had a direct bearing on children’s media device addiction. But media addiction produced different results when factored as a mediation effect. Here, family, parent-child interaction had an indirect impact on internalizing and externalizing problems.
