This study explores the impact of network characteristics of game characters on player churning in online games, with an empirical focus on League of Legends. We developed metrics to measure game character’s network influence, accessibility, and role identity. Utilizing statistical analyses and machine learning algorithms, we investigated whether and how these characteristics influence players’ churning decision. Our findings indicate that character network attributes, such as influence (degree centrality), accessibility (closeness centrality), and role identity (Pct-Same) play significant roles in reducing player attribution.
